The new and improved 2018 Ford Mustang GT will be available with the Performance Pack Level 2, which offers a middle ground between the Performance Pack Level 1 and GT350.
While the Performance Pack Level 2 offers many new features, you can expect the following features which can also be found on the Performance Pack Level 1:
- Chassis and antilock brake tuning
- Stability control
- Electric power-assisted steering
- Brembo™ six-piston front calipers with larger rotors
- A K-brace
- Large radiator
- Silver-painted strut tower brace
- TORSEN® rear differential

What’s New With the Performance Pack Level 2
Exceptional Handling and Response
In addition to the Mustang Performance Pack Level 1 features, the Performance Pack Level 2 will come with one-of-kind 19” aluminum wheels with 305/30/R19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The custom-tuned MagneRide® dampers and quicker steering calibration will work with these wheels and tires to provide exceptional handling and response.
Exterior and Interior Changes
The Mustang Performance Pack Level 2 will also feature a few exterior changes that are designed to enhance the aerodynamics of this sports car. These changes include a larger and lower front splitter and redesigned rear spoiler with black detailing. Both the splitter and spoiler were designed by Jonathan Gesek, a Mustang veteran and former NASA aerodynamics specialist.
And when you step foot inside of a Mustang equipped with the Performance Pack Level 2? You’ll find unique Recaro leather seating.
Powertrain Details
A 5.0L V8 engine will power the 2018 Mustang GT, which produces up to 460 horsepower and 420 Ib-ft of torque. What’s more? The Mustang Performance Pack Level 2 is expected to allow you to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4.0 seconds.
